On Wednesday evening, July 27, 2022, at the “Maʿrifa of Ashura” ceremony in Afakhra Mosque in Rasht, while offering condolences on the occasion of Muharram and mourning days of Imam Hussain (a.s.), Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “We need to redefine the event of Ashura, and with correct narration, remove the superstitions and distortions in this regard.”
