Czech Republic to close its embassy in Afghan capital

The Czech Republic will close its embassy in the Afghanistan capital Kabul on Jan. 1, 2023 as no improvement in security situation is expected anytime soon, local media reported Wednesday.

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky has decided to close the Czech embassy in Kabul, said the Czech News Agency (CTK).
