‘First-time pilgrims shouldn’t be too reliant on Hajj financial assistance’

The possibility of another increase in the cost of performing the Hajj for first-time pilgrims emerged the moment this year’s haj season came to a close.

Lembaga Tabung Haji chairman Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar raised the issue last month when he disclosed that the Malaysian pilgrim management and fund board is expected to discuss the next season’s cost review with the government.
