massive fires at oil installations in Russia and Ukraine as both sides escalate their drone conflict

In front of Kyiv’s anticipated spring counter-offensive to try to end Moscow’s all-out invasion, both sides escalated a drone war targeting infrastructure on Wednesday, setting oil depots ablaze in both Russia and Ukraine.

Numerous firefighters battled a massive fire that the Russian government attributed to a Ukrainian drone hitting an oil terminal on its side of the bridge it constructed to annex Crimea.

Following a rumored Russian drone strike on the city of Kropyvnytskyi in the country’s center, a fuel depot was also on fire in Ukraine.
