Protesters in Paris are marching on May Day against pension reform and vowing to “give it our all.”

This year, May 1 in Paris was much more than just a day to honor laborers and their rights. In a fresh display of rage against President Emmanuel Macron’s pension reform, which was rammed through parliament in March, hundreds of thousands took to the streets of the city.

The 13th day of widespread protests against the controversial pension reform was observed on Monday. Even if the protest was smaller than many others before it, demonstrators have persisted in their actions over the course of several months and maintained their spirits.

Many people questioned whether Monday’s demonstration would be the last ditch effort or give reform opponents new life.
