Unmanned minehunters set to patrol Gulf waters

A new generation of crewless minehunters from the UK Royal Navy will patrol Gulf waters next year, alongside those deployed by the US Navy, a top British military official has revealed. They will be part of the region’s aggressive defence modernisation initiatives, according to speakers at the 18th International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Regional Security Summit: The Manama Dialogue 2022, held at The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain.
