Erdogan Plays with “Safe Zone” Fire in Syria

Turkish officials recently said they were planning a 30-kilometre buffer zone in northern Syria, reigniting their professional dreams in the Arab country after 11 years of fueling a devastating conflict there.

The plan is expected to lead to a spike in tension as the Syrian government and US-backed Kurdish groups warn of the consequences.
