Airstrike on ethnic minority kills 30 in Myanmar

At least 30 people were killed in an airstrike against an ethnic minority in Myanmar, opposition groups and local media said on Monday.

The offensive took place last night in the northern state of Kachin , during the commemoration of the 62nd anniversary of the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) , hitting civilians and officers of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
