The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, attended the fifth night of mourning ceremonies for Imam Hussain (pbuh) and his companions on the night of Ashura on Monday, August 8, 2022, in Imam Khomeini’s Hussainiyah. Due to an increase in the Coronavirus pandemic, these ceremonies will be held without people in attendance this year.
